What this service is
PDFKill is a
PDF editor. It replaces values in an already finished document while keeping the
embedded font, the position and the styling, so that the edit does not look like a
paste from another program. The service works on the file that you uploaded.
What is forbidden
- Forging documents and any use of them to deceive — banks, government
bodies, employers, landlords, insurers, private individuals.
- Changing documents that
belong to others without the right to do so.
- Passing a changed document off as the original to someone entitled
to treat it as genuine.
- Uploading files you hold no rights to, and malicious content.
- Automated
bulk access, attempts to break or overload the service.
Your files
- Documents are visible to your
account only. Every account has its own storage, and other people's files never
appear in it.
- We do not read the contents of your documents
and do not use them — not for training, not for anything else.
- A deleted project is removed from the disk.
Backups, where they exist, are pushed out as they rotate.
What the service does not promise
- A hundred per cent match on every
document. Some PDFs are scans and raster: there is no text in them, and nothing
to replace.
- Uninterrupted
service. It is still being developed, and breaks are possible.
- Legal fitness of the result.
Responsibility for how you use the file you receive lies with you.
Payment
A topped-up balance is not refunded — neither what has been spent
nor what is left. There is one exception: force majeure, that is, circumstances
neither you nor we could affect.
